HTkids Church Child Safe Policy
This policy was written to demonstrate the strong commitment of all our volunteers, parents, and carers to child safety, and to provide an outline of the policies and practices we have developed to keep everyone safe from any harm, including the youngest members of our church family.
Commitment to child safety
All children who come to HTkids church have a right to feel and be safe. The welfare of the children attending our kids church will always be our first priority and we have a zero tolerance to child abuse.
We aim to create a child safe and child friendly environment where children feel safe and have fun.
Valuing diversity
We value diversity and do not tolerate any discriminatory practices, and welcome and actively support families and children from all backgrounds and with all abilities to our kids church.
Volunteers at HTkids church
HTkids church values the support of our volunteers and applies the best practice standards in the recruitment and screening of volunteers. All volunteers hold a current Working with Children Check and Police Check.
Reporting a child safety concern or complaint
Denise Martin and Annie Feore are our current Child Safety Officers with the specific responsibility for responding to any child safety concerns or complaints made by parents, carers or volunteers.
Reviewing this policy
This policy will be reviewed every year and we welcome views, comments and suggestions from parents, carers, and volunteers.
