Our prayer for peace in our world.
God of the dispossessed,
Defender of the helpless,
Whose children suffer in many places as a result of war;
You grieve with all the parents who weep because their children suffer or are no more.
Give us grace not to stand indifferently by,
But to stand for the weak against the tyranny of the strong.
May we refuse to be comforted until the violence of the strong has been confounded,
And the broken victims have been set free.
In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
