We have a brand new program ready to go, so let’s get this term STARTED😊

Alleluia! We're back! Join us in the park at 10.30am for a catchup, and here's a 'best of the best' from our online programs. Enjoy!

27/06/21

Last week we heard the story of the Wealthy Man (or Rich Fool) 😊  He thought he could save up all his riches for himself to enjoy for the long term, but God said uh uh!!  Material things don’t last forever…
but God’s love for us does!

210627
The kids made some beautifully decorated crosses to remind us to always be rich toward God.  We had a special visit from Louisa, Evie, Annabelle and their mum Maxine…so lovely to see them😊

This Sunday is the final kids church for this term, and we are looking at the Parable of the Good Samaritan! We’ll plan some park catchups during the school hols, we’ll keep you posted via WhatsApp or text message 😊

20/6/21

Screen Shot 2021 06 19 at 102146 amThis week are going to learn about the Parable of the Wealthy Man. We are going to hear a story Jesus told about a rich man who cared a lot about his money and lots of other things he owned. This story teaches us that spending time playing with our favourite toys is not nearly as important as spending time with Jesus!

Bring your kids to the hall before church starts (from 8.45am), and  sign them in.  We will have our lesson, songs, craft and games, andstory of the Wealthy Man (or Rich Fool join families back in church for communion😊

13/6/21210613 lost sheep

This week we are learning about the Parable of the Lost Sheep. Jesus tells the parable of the lost sheep to show that the Kingdom of God is accessible to all, even those who were sinners or strayed from God's path. ... Jesus stresses that when the shepherd finds the lost sheep, he rejoices over it more than the 99 who did not go astray.

Don’t forget, we’re back at church after a couple of weeks at home….yay!!  Bring your kids to the hall before church starts (from 8.45am), and  sign them in.  We will have our lesson, songs, craft and games, and join families back in church for communion😊

On Trinity Sunday we celebrate that God is made up of the Father, the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. You’ve probably heard all three of those names in some of our prayers and especially when we baptise someone.  It can be a bit hard to understand sometimes, but the bible tells us that there is only one God but that this God is made up of three parts, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit!

Jesus (the son) can be our saviour and friend, the Holy Spirit can live inside us and guide us, and we can know the deep love the Father has for us…how AWESOME is that?

Next Sunday is the first Sunday of the month, so that is our park catchup (weather and lockdown permitting)!  Ross and I are hopefully off on an adventure…and we’ll see you when we return.

23/05/21

Welcome to HTkids@home

This week we are talking about something that you can’t see with your eyes but has an amazing and important impact on what we do. Before Jesus went up into Heaven, He promised the disciples to send them a special helper, the Holy Spirit! The people were filled with joy and excitement...the Holy Spirit had come! The disciples couldn’t wait to share the news of Jesus with everyone around them. And do you know what? Without studying or any learning...the Holy Spirit allowed them to speak other languages, so everyone could understand them!!

Don’t forget, we’re back at church...yay!! Bring your kids to the hall before church starts (from 8.45am), and sign them in. We will have our lesson, songs, craft and games, and join families back in church for communion.

16/05/21

Last Sunday HTkids heard the parable of the Unforgiving Servant...all about forgiving those who wrong us over and over again! Can you imagine that?? And that’s exactly what God wants us to do!Screen Shot 2021 05 20 at 62037 am

And as it was Mother’s Day...our thoughts turned to those who forgive us...a lot!! MUMS!!

Our kids had a great time making beautiful rose scented bath salts for their mums and grandmums, and some gorgeous flower cards.

Don’t forget, we’re back at church...yay!! Bring your kids to the hall before church starts (from 8.45am), and sign them in. We will have our lesson, songs, craft and games, and join families back in church for communion

09/05/21

This Sunday HTkids will be exploring the parable of the U210509nforgiving Servant!  Can you imagine forgiving someone 70 x 7 times??  That’s what God wants us to do!

AND we’re celebrating mums, who always forgive us, right?😉

AND…this term we’re back to church for HTkids…yay!!  B
ring your kids to the hall before church starts (from 8.45am), and  sign them in.  We will have our lesson, songs, craft and games, and join families back in church for communion.

Last Sunday was the first one of the month, and we had a lovely park catch up.  It was lovely to have Hannah, Harry and Lucy join us too😊

02/05/21

Don't forget that this is the first Sunday of the month, so kids church is off to the park for a catch up!! Kids, partners and friends can all join in! There will be no kids program at church today (gives you the morning off, and me😁) So, weather permitting let's meet at 10.30 at G.L Basterfield Park, Dane Rd playground! Hope to see you there😃.  Ross and Deb

25/04/21

This term HTkids will be exploring parables!

A parable is a story that Jesus told to make His message more easily understood for the disciples, and us!210425 parables

This term we are also back to church for HTkids…yay!!  We are trialling a new approach, where kids can be brought straight to the hall before church starts (from 8.45am), and will be signed in by a parent or grandparent.  We will have our lesson, craft and games, and join families back in church for communion.

On the first Sunday of each month, there will be no kids church, but we will have an online clip here and a park catch up…a great intro for new families and those wanting to check us out😊

HTKids is having a break during the school holidays and will return Sunday, April 25. See you then!

03/04/21

HTkids this week concludes the Story of Easter, with Ernie and his chickens who have been helping all of us rediscover the so very special story that Easter is.

It was great to be able to use our hall last week…the kids made some beautiful ‘stained glass’ crosses to put in their windows to remind them of Jesus sacrifice for all of us.  We helped celebrate the baptism of Liam with his family, and wished Hannah, Tim and Harry blessings for their soon to arrive baby…so very exciting!!210402

Check out this week’s story on YouTube and be rediscover the amazing Easter Story!!  Hope to see you at church for our Easter Egg Hunt 10am on Sunday April 4th. 😊

HTkids this week continues with the Easter Story!
We’ve got a special segment this week called ‘Weird Things’, and we welcome a special guest!

My guest has been a chicken farmer for a long time, and recently, he found some strange and unusual things in the chicken coop. Could his chickens be sending him a message from beyond?

Check out this week’s story on YouTube and be amazed as some ordinary chickens do extraordinary things!!
Hope to see you at church for our first morning tea of the year, in the hall!! There will be cake !

{youtube}7sdPACvgo4k{/youtube}

21/03/21210321 smiley face

HTkids this week begins the Easter Story with…The Triumphal Entry!!

The SMILEY EMOJI is clearly a really, really happy emoji, and it captures the feeling of the people in Jerusalem at the start of what we call the Easter story. We see how the people were ready for a conquering king, and they welcomed Jesus with open arms, and much cheering and celebration!

Easter is all about being prepared because Jesus is coming to save the world from sin. That’s what this Easter season is about. We want you to be ready!

Check out this week’s story on and be prepared!!

We’ll have a park catchup this Sunday 21 March @10.30am at G.L. Basterfield park, Dane St Hampton East (there’s ducks and swans, yay!!) …hope to see you there

HTkids continues to learn how to have the ‘Best Year Ever!’, and this week is all about ‘Expect Great Things! We look at what makes us happy or sad, and how we can rely on God when things don’t go so well. Whatever kind of day we’re facing, we can have joy that only comes from the Lord.

Our bible passage is from Philippians 4:4-9...Rejoice in the Lord!  In it, Paul gives us a three-step plan for finding joy.
First, we need to remember God.
Second, we need to give our worries to God, and
Third, we need to focus on the good things, and thank God for all He has given us.210314kids

HTkids is back on YouTube, so check out this week’s story.
We’re having a park catchup this Sunday 14 March @10.30am at Alexander Street park…hope to see you there😊

This week HTkids is all about the ‘Best Year Ever!’  Our Summer holidays are over, and the new year has begun…with some of us starting Kinder or school for the very first time, and others returning to the next level up!  We want all our kids to have the best year ever, and we know that happens when we put God first.  We encourage all to focus on God the first thing in the morning, thank God for all that is good in our life, and pray that we will be kind, friendly…and have the best year ever!! HTkids is back on YouTube, so check out this week’s story.best yeasr ever

Well HTkids is certainly having a slow start to 2021!  Might have something to do with a sprained ankle (apparently Deb is still falling for the Vicar😊 after all these years married to him), a certain big ‘0’ birthday for the Vicar, and a house full of family which is lovely!

HTkids is back on YouTube next week with some great tips for our kids on how to have the ‘Best Year Ever!!’  Keep an eye out for it!

We’ll have a park catchup next Sunday 7 March, at Alexander Street park!

As we prepared to welcome 2021, we said goodbye to 2020 with a Christmas party in the park…even the vicar was roped into a game of tunnel ball!

The Vicarage’s newest family member, Monty the Dalmatian, learned that you’re NOT allowed to sit on the coffee table😊 HTkids@home is having a slow start…and hopefully will be back on youtube soon, keep an eye out for it

14/02/21

Well, welcome to 2021, let’s hope there’s not a sense of déjà vu heading our way

Our Bethlehem Live held on Christmas Eve was a great success, and the kids did an awesome job with the flock of sheep!!  You can check out photos in our Gallery.

210214 kidsWe finished the year with a Christmas party in the park, and said farewell to the Morley family, and wished them well as they settle into their new home in the Dandenong Ranges!

Louisa and Evie started prep this year and are very excited to be meeting and making new friends.  There were big smiles all round with the return to school, ranging from prep to high school!  The Vicarage added a new family member with Monty the Dalmatian joining us…lot’s of spots and sending us dotty😊

HTkids@home recommences next weekend, so keep a lookout for it on Youtube and here😊

Every year, around the world, people celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on Christmas Day. It’s a day – and season – filled with Christmas carols, tree decorating, gift-giving and parties.

It is an opportunity to pause and give thanks for the peace, love, hope and joy found in Jesus – our Saviour and friend. As we exchange gifts with loved ones, may it remind us of the gift God gave us in Jesus. The gift that we are loved, are never alone and can have hope for the future.

This year has been filled with uncertainty and unexpected change. The good news of Christmas is that even when our celebrations may look different this year than in the past – the message of Christmas remains the same!

Well, the busyness of Christmas is upon us…and it is so good to recognise this Advent season as a time of preparation and reflection.  The kids continued with their Advent Wreaths for home and lit the second candle…the candle of Peace. 😊

We celebrate all of our gorgeous kids at this time, and they have been busy counting down to the birth of baby Jesus with a woolly sheep to help!  They have decorated their Christmas trees with some beautiful Advent decorations, we’ve had a beautiful angel in a school play, and a Year 6 graduation!!201213 advent peace

Tune in to our YouTube channel this week where we are reminded of how much love Jesus has for each one of us, and that He was born to show us how to live a life full of LOVE, and always share it with others.  This week we light the candle of LOVE!

Last week we celebrated Christ the King Sunday, and the kids really got their crafting on and made some royal, regal, kingly creations😊

We learned that Jesus is a king, but a different kind of king to what we're used to. He’s not a king with a golden crown, who has riches and jewels and servants, and who orders people around. Jesus is the best kind of king! He is the King of Heaven and the King of Love, who takes all of the things we do wrong and wipes the20201129 christ the kingm away…how awesome is that?

This week was an amazing story about Baby Moses! Wow…what a great story! God was watching out for baby Moses.  He protected Moses and led him where he needed to be so he would be safe. God is always watching out for us. His eyes are always on us, and He protects us His children, when we need Him!

Our kids did an awesome job making Moses in his basket in the bullrushes😊201122 moses in a basket

This week introduced us to a very colourful story! God had a plan for Joseph, but Joseph’s pride got him in trouble. He was sold as a slave, and later, he was thrown into jail. He spent many years away from home, alone, and in a dungeon. Joseph made a big mistake, but in spite of this mistake, God was still with him.Joseph 201115

Our kids did an awesome job decorating and creating a beautiful colourful coat for Joseph😊

Tune in to our YouTube channel this week to hear all about a baby rescue…hmmm, who could that be?

Our last lesson in 'How to Train Your Emotions’, was JOYOUS! … throughout this series we learned that emotions are how we experience life. Some emotions are positive, and some are negative.

All emotions are an important part of being human, even anger, fear, and sadness, but if we let these negative emotions run unchecked, they can bring us down and even get us into trouble. Jesus came to give us new life and joy

If we focus on God, we can have that joy, no matter what life brings our way.201108 joyful pic

The kids showed their most joyful faces…and enjoyed their dragonfruit smoothies and ‘nicecream’…yum😊

Tune in to our YouTube channel this week to hear a very colourful story about pride, a bunch of brothers, and a colourful coat!

This is the last week to order one of our fabulous and fun Gingerbread house kits, so make sure you don’t miss out and head to the TryBooking link on our website, choose your kit, and ‘click and collect’ to pick up early December…spread the word ho! ho! ho! 😊 or simply click here.

01/11/20

Well, this is the last week of 'How to Train Your Emotions’. Over the last few weeks, we have looked at ANGER, FEAR, and last week was SADNESS…we saw how sad Jesus was when His good friend Lazarus died. Jesus cried over the death of his friend, and many of Lazarus’s friends and family were confused and hurt; they wanted to know why Jesus took so long, and why He didn’t arrive in time to heal His friend! But Jesus spoke the words, “Lazarus, come forth!” and Lazarus rose from the grave.201101 sad faces

We know that when we are sad, Jesus will walk with us, He will grieve with us, and He will be our strength…how AWESOME is that!!

The kids showed their sad faces…I’m so glad we don’t see them all the time!

Tune in to our YouTube channel this week to hear all about JOY…and how God will help us transform our bad emotions into JOY. We learn how even in the most terrible of times, if our focus and hope is on Jesus, we can have joy and peace. Deb also made a delicious dragonfruit ‘nicecream’…recipe on YouTube!

Our Gingerbread house kits are available so don’t miss out…orders close next week so grab one for a fun activity for the family!  Just head to the website’s TryBooking link, choose your kit, and ‘click and collect’ to pick up early December, so spread the word ho! ho! ho! 😊 or simply click here.

25/10/20

Well last week’s 'How to Train Your Emotions’, was all about Fear! …which some of us may have felt, returning to school and work after such a long time at home!  Fear can paralyse us; it can freeze us in our tracks, and it can stop us from doing things that God wants us to do. We learned there’s no reason to fear anything when we know God is in control.

The kids rose to the challenge to show their best fearful faces…and some made dragonfruit smoothies…yum😊201025 kids fear

18/10/20

Well our new series 'How to Train Your Emotions’, started with a BANG…all about anger! …which some of us adults could be feeling given metropolitan Melbourne’s time spent in lockdown.  We learned that anger can happen when we feel wronged, disappointed, let down, or upset, and if we can’t control our anger, we can get in some serious trouble (think fire breathing dragon!!) But you can’t stay angry for long when we remember how God has blessed us.

The kids rose to the challenge to show their best angry faces…😊201018 angry kids

Our Gingerbread house kits have returned this year, initially as a click & collect to do at home as a family.  If we can meet as a group closer to Christmas, we may plan a day to decorate in the hall!  So please, spread the word to friends and family…a Try Booking link is on our website or simply click here.

Well, we are back after a lovely break for the school holidays…

Spoonville has been growing with well over 100 residents now😊 and we’ve been having some amazing chats over the vicarage fence! (keeping Deb sane😉)

We begin our new series this week; ’How to Train Your Emotions’, which is quite timely given metropolitan Melbourne’s time spent in lockdown.  The first emotion we’re exploring is anger – something that can make us sometimes turn into a fire breathing dragon!!

…I think the series maybe a good one for us adults to ponder too!

Our Gingerbread house kits are back again this year, initially as a click & collect to do at home as a family.  If we can meet as a group closer to Christmas, we may plan a day to decorate in the hall!  Spread the word to friends and family…a Try Booking link is on our website or you can get to it here.

Welcome to HTkids@home, where we are being BUILT UP into strong kids of faith!

Last week’s lesson was all about building repentance, and Zacchaeus, a dishonest man with a bad reputation, showed us and how he learned to be very sorry for all the bad things he had done, and because he repented…he was forgiven!

The kids challenge was ‘…Zac…Don’t Go Back!’ and they did a great job of the Sycamore tree with Zacchaeus up in the branches!

Chocolate Spiders were made by some of the families, and I’m very sure they were enjoyed by all😊

200920Tune in to our YouTube channel this week to learn how we might build strength…a story involving an Apostle named Paul, some prisoners, a boat, a storm, and a shipwreck!

With the school holidays comes a welcome break from recording for kids’ church, and the opportunity to explore our next series 😊

Welcome to HTkids@home, where we are being BUILT UP into strong kids of faith!

Last week’s lesson was all about building trust, and we saw in Jonah’s story how he didn’t want to trust God at first. He wanted to do things his way, but God set him straight with a giant fish! Thankfully God isn’t going to send a fish after us, but He wants us to learn from Jonah and the other heroes of faith in the Bible!

The kid’s challenge was ‘…not a Fish’s Tail, Let’s Build a Whale!’ and I think you’ll agree they did an awesome job!200913 pic

Another batch of Honey Joys was made, and watch this week to find another sweet treat recipe to make at home😊

Tune in to our YouTube channel to learn about building repentance…a hard one to explain, but Zacchaeus’s story will help us with that!

As our time in lockdown continues, I look at our gorgeous kids and am amazed at their passion and enthusiasm for kids church; via Zoom, YouTube, What’s App and home delivered craft!  We are truly blessed to have these beautiful little ones amongst us, and the encouragement of their families. Please hold them in your prayers.

We have had some great conversations over thevicarage fence with kidsand families, and we’re keeping up a supply of blank spoons to take, decorate, and then return to populate the front lawn. Feel free to pick one up for a little friend...or maybe yourself.

Welcome to HTkids@home, where we are being BUILT UP into strong boys and girls of faith!

Last week was our first lesson in the ‘Bible Bricks’ series.  We heard all about a wall, one that was supposed to have been built so thick and so strong, that no one would be able to break through it!  It surrounded the city of Jericho.

Overpowering a city with such a solid defence looked impossible for the Israelites, but they followed God’s instructions, and the walls came tumbling down!!

‘…Another Brick in the Wall’ challenged the kids to make the wall of Jericho, a200906nd they did an amazing job!  We also had a brand-new cooking segment, and Honey Joys was the recipe of the day…they were yum!

This week’s story is all about TRUST!  Our story is about Jonah, who didn’t want to trust God at first. He wanted to do things his way, but God set him straight with a giant fish!

Tune in this week to see how when we follow God’s instructions, nothing will be impossible for us. 😊

And just like David and his simple sling, we learned that when we trust in God anything plain and ordinary can become something amazing in our hands.  God sees the potential in each one of our lives for greatness.

The kids challenge was to make something amazing out of something plain and ordinary…paper! I think you’ll agree they did an awesome job of the ‘Roll it, Fold it, Make it’ challenge!200830 pic

This week we begin our new series ‘Bible Bricks’ and it reminds us that when we use that awesome set of instructions…the Bible, we are BUILT UP into strong boys and girls, men and women of faith.

Tune in to our YouTube channel this week to see how a city, with a seemingly impenetrable wall was overpowered, and check out our new cooking segment…Honey Joys…yum😊

Don’t forget our challenge to give us your BEST DAD JOKE EVER…Simply record your daggy😊 dad joke, and email to Ross here at Holy Trinity Hampton. (…pleeease…!!)

Welcome to HTkids@home, we hope you are feeling creative and ready to be the big, beautiful collage of God’s church!

Last week, was all about collage and how that is exactly how Jesus wants his church to be.

God made us all different and unique. Some of us are musical. Some are teachers.  Some are hard workers. Some are wise and insightful, and some are artistic.

Whatever your gifts are, you have a purpose in God’s family.

Everyone has a part to play in the family of God. 200823

The kids rose to the challenge in our Pretty as a Picture’ challenge and made some beautiful collage pictures from things found in their gardens.

This week is our final ‘Bible Art’ lesson, and it’s all about paper folding! Sometimes something as simple as one sheet of paper can become an amazing work of art.

Don’t forget our challenge to give us your BEST DAD JOKE EVER

Welcome to HTkids@home, we hope you are feeling creative and ready to be the big, beautiful collage of God’s church!

Last week, was all about colouring outside the lines, and Jesus showed us that He didn’t always stay in the lines either. Jesus broke the rules - not to do the wrong thing, but to do the right thing!

He knew some of the “rules” the religious leaders had made up were wrong, and he wasn’t afraid to do the right thing when it went against their rules.

The kids rose to the challenge in our ‘Mr Squiggle Rockets Back to Earth’ challenge!  (I’m sure some of them had to ask their grandparents who Mr Squiggle was😉)

This week’s ‘Bible Art’ is all about collage! A collage is a picture made of many parts. A body is made of many parts, and our church is made of many people, and every person has a purpose in the church.

Tune in to our YouTube channel to learn why Jesus didn’t always “stay in the lines” of what people expected of Him. He never disobeyed God, but he wasn’t afraid to break the rules of other people to do what was right!

Welcome to HTkids@home, we hope you are feeling creative and ready to build on a firm foundation with our Bible story this week!

Last week, we learned that if we build a house or tower out of icy pole sticks, or building blocks, or even Lego you need a solid foundation if you want to make it big. God knows this and gave us the Bible, and when we build our life on the Word of God, we will have a foundation that can weather any storm.

The kids rose to the challenge in our ‘Build it up…up…up!’ challenge!
Some great towers built on solid foundations…and a great picture too!  build with sticks

This week our ‘Bible Art’ series is all about colouring inside…and outside the lines!  Learn why Jesus didn’t always “stay in the lines” of what people expected of Him. He never disobeyed God, but he wasn’t afraid to break the rules of other people to do what was right!

Father’s Day is coming up…and that’s given us an idea…here’s a challenge to all the dads out there, to give us their BEST DAD JOKE EVER

Simply record your daggy😊 dad joke, and email to Ross here at Holy Trinity Hampton. (…please, otherwise Ross says he has a million of them…)

Welcome to HTkids@home, we hope you are feeling creative and ready to build on a firm foundation with our Bible story this week!

Last week, we learned how fun finger painting can be…and how MESSY! Through the story of Daniel and the Lion’s Den, we learned that when we have messes we just can’t clean up, God wants us to give those messes to him so he can do the clean-up.

The kids rose to the challenge in our ‘HTkids Challenge Accepted’ segment…some excellent cleaning up of messes at home, and some very happy parents!!  Jump on to our YouTube channel and check them out!

This week in our ‘Bible Art’ series it’s all about building on a firm foundation…even if it is with icy pole sticks! Tune in to our Bible story; when we build our life on God’s Word, we will be prepared for any storms that may come our way!

If you would like to be included in the HTkids craft mailout, or know someone who would, please contact us and we'll add you to the list!

Welcome to HTkids@home. We hope you are feeling creative and ready to discover another awesome Bible story this week!

Last week, we learned how creative our God is…He created the world in just six days!

The kids really rose to the challenge in our ‘HTkids Challenge Accepted’ segment…some amazing, creative, never before seen creatures…all modelled from clay or play doh. You can check them all out on our YouTube channel and on this page! I think the parents are really going to love this week’s new challenge! Playdoh

This week in our ‘Bible Art’ series it’s all about messes…finger painting gets really messy, but that’s half the fun in creating wonderful artwork. Tune in to see who our Bible story is about, and to learn that when we let God into our “messy” situations, he will turn them into something wonderful!

Trini the vicarage possum is back to help us with this week’s story and has some really good questions about ‘messes’.

18/7/20

Welcome back to HTkids@home, we hope you have enjoyed your break and are feeling creative and ready to discover some more awesome stories from the Bible!

This week we start our new series ‘Bible Art’, and we have some new friends joining us.

This is Trini, the vicarage possum and she lives in the big tree at the front of the vicarage.

I have it on very good authority that Trini used to live IN the roof at the vicarage... and, from time to time, would make an appearance INSIDE the house!!…I’m so glad she has decided to make the tree her home!

Trini will be joining us each week, and we will be following her adventures, so look out for her!  Trini the possum

Another exciting thing for kids church is we’ll be adding some new and different segments each week, AND we’ve introduced a weekly challenge to do…it might be crafty, it might be creative…but it’s sure to be fun!  Look out for it near the end of our program where we’ll tell you all about this week’s HTkids CHALLENGE!

You can find HTkids@home on YouTube; just click the link or search Holy Trinity Hampton. If you would like to be included in the HTkids craft mailout, or know someone who would, please contact us and we'll add you to the list!

volunteerWe’ve been having lot of fun bringing HTkids to you via YouTube and learning new skills too!  We would love to have some younger people as part of our team (…if you have teenagers…?). If you know someone who might like to be involved with videoing, production or content please contact Ross😊

Last week we explored ‘Incredible Me!’ where we learned that we are ‘…fearfully and wonderfully made’!  God has created each one of us individually! We might have similarities, but we are created to be different and unique…which is INCREDIBLE!

We also had another lovely catch up with several families at Thomas Street park.

If you would like to be included in the HTkids craft mailout, or know someone who would, please contact us and we'll add you to the list!

Our next series is ‘Bible Art,’ where we’ll explore getting creative with God…which is sure to be messy, colourful and fun!

In the mean time, why not download this drawing and make a unique flower? Enjoy!

volunteerWe would love to have some younger people as part of our team to bring fresh ideas and to share the load.

If you have teenagers, or know anyone who might be willing to give an hour once or twice a month to have some fun and be involved with content, videoing or production, that would be awesome…please contact Ross😊

Incredible Me

27/6/20

Our ‘Incredible Faith’ series came to an end last week…with
the Mightiest Superhero of All…Jesus!! The hero God wants us to put our faith in!

We learned that no one had the faith of Jesus either.  You see, for Jesus to become our greatest hero, he had to become human.  He had to be part of a scary and dangerous plan that God the Father laid out for him to fulfil his destiny and become our mightiest hero!

The kids enjoyed making a Garden of Gethsemane craft, a prayer tree and a multiple choice!

On Sunday, we were very excited to meet up in our own community garden behind the church, with some new friends joining us.  We shared a lovely unicorn cake to celebrate Lara’s birthday😊

This week is all about ‘Incredible Me…fearfully and wonderfully made!’ Psalm 139 tells us that God knows what’s in all of our hearts because he made us.

{youtube}YTlSIUK08P4{/youtube}

If you or any teenagers you know is already wonderfully made in the skills of creating content, video making and/or production, or would like to learn, and would like to assist the team creating HT Kids @home for an hour once or twice a month please This email address is being protected from spambots. Superheroes of the Bible

20/6/20

Well, our HTkids@home ‘Incredible Faith’ series on YouTube has been an amazing, creative, learning, making mistakes (…and learning from them😊) kind of time…and lots of fun! Thank you so much to everyone who is clicking on to view!

Our superhero Zoom auditions have come to an end, and we have met an amazing team of superheroes from the Bible!

Last week’s superhero was faithful to God. Daniel refused to give in and look what happened...God shut the lions mouths and they left him alone!

It’s not always easy to follow God’s ways. We want to do our own thing, and we want to fit in.

We can ask God to give us not only a faithful heart, but an obedient heart. Choose God’s way, and let God make you a witness, just as he did with Lion Man.

The kids enjoyed making a (not so scary) lion face, a Colour by Numbers, and a True or False!

On Sunday, we were very excited once again to meet up at Thomas Street park, with some new friends joining us, and a lovely visit from Lucille and Rudi!  This week we’ll be meeting at our Community Garden behind the church…and celebrating Lara’s birthday…with cake😊

This week's superhero is the Mightiest Hero of all…JESUS!  In his darkest hour, Jesus found the faith to fulfill his destiny and become our mightiest hero!  God wants us to put our faith in Jesus. Through Him, we can have the courage to take a stand like Esther, be brave like David and make tough choices like Daniel.

{youtube}Nbx-mhh07dM{/youtube}

13/6/20

Our superhero Zoom auditions are coming to an end, and we will soon have our newest superhero team complete!

Last week’s superhero was very brave! Esther showed us that people of faith are brave enough to stand up for God, even when doing so is scary. God wants us to be brave. He wants us to take a stand, and if we ask him for help, He will give us the words to say and the courage to say them.

The kids enjoyed making Esther’s crown (just can’t beat a bit of glitter😊), colouring in and completing a 'Find the Difference'! If you missed out on these, then download this Esther activity.

On Sunday, we were very excited to meet up at the Thomas Street park, catching up with old friends and new...it was sooo lovely to see everyone!

This week's superhero is all about staying faithful and obedient...even when choosing to obey God and doing what was right meant he risked being killed by lions! Click the link to find out who it is...

{youtube}ABF8d9u35SU{/youtube}

6/6/20

Well, last week’s superhero was amazing!  He may be small, but David showed us that he had the courage to take on Goliath, when no one else would! We learned that size doesn’t matter much to the Lord, not when he has work to do. God isn’t looking for faithful adults…He’s looking for faithful people. Even kids can serve God and do great things if they have the faith to trust in the Lord.

The kids enjoyed making David’s pebble pouch, and colouring in and a maze! We also shared a great Zoom morning tea and catchup on Sunday☺  If you missed out on the activities, you might like to download this colour-by-number activity.

Don't forget, if you would like to be included in the HTkids craft mailout, or know someone who would, please contact us and we'll add you to the list!

We’re excited to be meeting up at the Thomas Street park this Sunday (7/6/20) @ 10.30am for a BYO morning tea…yay!  Looking forward to seeing everyone!

This week's superhero is brave…she was asked to take a stand and risk her own life to save the lives of many other people!  Click the link to find out who it is!

Thank you to all those families checking in to HTkids on YouTube, we hope you are enjoying the ‘Incredible Faith’ series, where we are meeting some amazing superheroes of the Bible!

Our Zoom auditions continue, and we are well on the way to having our newest superhero team ready!

Last week we met Princess of Protection – aka Rahab.  Rahab showed us that faithful people are helpful people. As followers of Christ, we need to be helpful whenever we see someone in need. Superheroes help people. We can be superheroes of faith if we learn to look, listen, and respond to people in need of our help.

The kids enjoyed making Rahab’s wall and window, complete with the escape rope, and colour in and Find the Difference! We also shared a great Zoom morning tea and catchup on Sunday (…we may even look at catching up in a park soon!)☺
If you missed the activities, here's a Rahab wordsearch you can download, and if you would like to be included in the HTkids craft mailout, or know someone who would, please contact us and we'll add you to the list!

This week's superhero is mighty…he may be small, but he didn’t let that stop him!!

23/5/20

Thank you to all those families checking in to HTkids on YouTube, we hope you are enjoying watching it as much as we are enjoying bringing it to you!

Our hunt for the newest superhero team continues, with Zoom auditions going well!  Last week we auditioned Moses for his place in the team and learned how he led the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt.  BUT they were trapped with the Egyptian army behind them, and the Red Sea in front! Because Moses encouraged his people to have faith in God, He parted the waters of the Red Sea and they walked across on dry land!

The kids got to make their own parting of the Red Sea colour in and we shared a great Zoom morning tea and catchup on Sunday...hot chocolate optional☺

This week's superhero is sure to amaze...click the link below to find out who it is!

16/5/20

HTkids@home is off and running and getting some great feedback...and not just from within our parish; kids and parents outside of our parish are enjoying it too!

We are continuing to explore some amazing Superheroes of the Bible, in the Incredible Faith series.  Last week was all about Abraham, who showed incredible faith through his obedience to God...he packed up, left his home, and travelled to a new land because God asked him to...no ifs or buts, no questions asked!!

The kids got to colour in, and help Abraham pack up his donkey with all his belongings!

We shared a great Zoom morning tea and catchup on Sunday...hot chocolate optional☺

This week's superhero is sure to amaze...read on to find out who it is!

If you would like to be included in the HTkids craft mailout, or know someone who would, please contact us and we'll add you to the list!

9/5/20

HTkids@home was launched last week with the help of some awesome superheroes of the Bible.  Over the coming weeks, we will be looking at the stories of some amazing people who had Incredible Faith, and showed it by listening to and obeying God!
Last week we learned all about Arkman...aka Noah, and his Incredible Faith in believing in God's plan for him.  The kids got to make a superhero mask, and colour in Noah's Ark!
Hmmm...I wonder who this week's superhero will be?

And kids, don't forget it's Mothers' Day on May 10th when everyone give thanks for everyone in their life who has provided motherly support, cuddles and kindness to us. Download the activity sheet after you meet this week's superhero from the Bible.

2/5/20

A very big welcome to our new HTkids@home page, where we are discovering our creativity and learning new skills to bring kids church to you!

Over this next period of time, HTkids@home will be exploring a series called

‘Incredible Faith’ and quite a few superheroes of the Bible will help us do that!

Every week the children will receive in the post a pack (how exciting to get something in the mail!) with some simple craft for the HTkids@home session, a quick rundown of that week's super hero, a memory verse and simple prayer.  It also includes a lesson info sheet for parents.

Each Saturday a link will be sent via email to the parents, inviting them to that week’s HTkids@home session, which can then be viewed at the family's convenience.  These are short sessions, which include a kids chat, a short clip of the story (super hero) for that week and a skit...we're discovering our filming and acting skills!!

The email also includes a second link inviting the kids and parents to a Zoom morning tea catch up each Sunday at 10.30am...hot chocolate & marshmallows optional :)  If the family can make it, fantastic!!  If not, we hope to catch up the next time!

This is a new experience for all of us, and an awesome opportunity to be creative in bringing God’s message to our kids.

It's a work in progress, which is sure to evolve as the weeks go by…

If you know of any families, grandkids etc who might like to be included, please let us know and we can add them to the email list!

Here’s to exploring our Incredible Faith!!

This week - meet ARKMAN, and you might like to download this colouring in sheet.
